On the road again!!

This past weekend we traveled to Portland for my grandpa's funeral. The girls did such a good job in the car. On Thursday we left at 3:30am so the girls would sleep most of the way there. When we got to the hotel all Hannah kept asking to do was go swimming. The was the one thing she was excited for. We ended up having lunch at the hotel with everyone. The hotel was so nice. I don't think I have ever stayed in someplace like that before.

After lunch Cody and I took Hannah, Hayden and Johnny to Vancouver to the Wal-Mart. Cody can now say he has been to Washington. While we were in Wal-Mart I ended up getting sick and had to spend the rest of the evening in the room. Bless Cody's heart he took the girls and went and ate with my family so I could get some sleep. I thought it was just something I ate because I was fine the next morning but other family members ended up getting sick. :(

On Friday we had my grandpa's funeral. I was very good. They had the flag laying on top of the casket. On each corner there were eagles with the American Flag. They had three marines fold the flag which was given to my mom. It was very touching listening to the playing of taps and then watching them present my mom the flag. My uncle Ted talked and my cousin Jason and Lindsay sang. It was wonderful.

On Saturday Cody, Hannah, Hayden and I went for a drive into Milwaukie to show Hannah were I lived when I was her age. It hasn't changed to much from I remember it. We took them to the mall which is much bigger than ours. They had a wishing well and Hannah was so impressed that I had fish in it.

Even though some were sick it was so nice getting to see all of my aunts and some of my uncles and cousins. My mom and her sisters had a wonderful time. It is the first time that they have all been together since 1993. It was an enjoyable time.
